Romeo and Juliet

A Romeo and Juliet Playlist Compiled by the Class of 2022

Romeo: Love is a smoke raised with the fume of sighs(I.i.180)

Romeo: I'll watch her place of stand, And, touching hers, make blessed my rude hand. (I.v.)

Romeo: Wilt thou leave me so unsatisfied?
Juliet: What satisfaction canst thou have tonight? (II.ii)

Juliet: Just opposite to what thou justly seem'st... honourable villain!
(III.ii.80-81)

Romeo: With love's light wings did I o'er-perch these walls for stony limits cannot keep love out.
(III.v.1-3) Juliet
Wilt thou be gone? It is not yet near day. It was the nightingale, and not the lark that pierced the fearful hollow of thine ear.
Romeo: He jests at scars that never felt a wound (II.ii.1)

Romeo: But, soft! What light through yonder window breaks?

Romeo: how silver sweet sound lovers' words by night, like softest music to attending ears. (II.ii)

Friar: Holy Saint Francis! ... Young mens' love then lies not truly in their hearts, but in their eyes.
“When he shall die,
Take him and cut him out in little stars, And he will make the face of heaven so fine
That all the world will be in love with night  And pay no worship to the garish sun.”
My child is yet a stranger in the world; she hath not seen the change of fourteen years. (I.ii)
